About Lorna Shepard, Principal

Lorna started her career in advertising in Chicago working with clients like Sears, Oscar Mayer and Bristol Myers Squibb to identify their customers’ needs and emotional drivers so that advertising efforts were high-impact.  A move to San Francisco to work on the Clorox account brought her out West.  She then learned the financial services industry launching Janus Mutual Funds’ brand.  This experience opened up all sorts of opportunities to work with other financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Everen Securities and Piper Jaffray.

In an effort to seek more balance in her life, Lorna and her husband moved from the Bay Area to Truckee, CA.  Lorna worked for a smaller advertising agency in Reno establishing their account planning division and acquainting clients with this invaluable research and consumer insight tool.  After 6+ years with Rose/Glenn and a brief stint with an agency in Sacramento, Lorna ventured out on her own to provide freelance account planning, research and communications planning consulting to marketers and ad agencies.

Lorna makes the most of life in Tahoe: skiing and snowboarding in the winter—even teaching for a few years—and riding her dirt bike and mountain bike when the snow melts.
